To ensure that the harness fits correctly and is comfortable, you need two measurements of your dog:
1. neck circumference (A)
- Place the measuring tape around the neck where the collar normally sits.
- This is the upper area, slightly below the larynx and in front of the shoulder blades.
- Make sure that the measuring tape is tight, but not too tight.
- Tip: Leave one or two fingers between the measuring tape and the neck so that the harness is not too tight later on.
2. chest circumference (B)
- Measure at the widest part of the rib cage, directly behind the front legs.
- Guide the measuring tape horizontally and close the round around the chest.
- Here, too, the rule is: not too loose, but allow one or two fingers space for freedom of movement.
Important notes
- Measure the dog standing up, as the measurements may change when sitting or lying down.
- Repeat the measurement a second time to be on the safe side.
- Note both values (A = neck circumference, B = chest circumference) and compare them with the size chart.
